Some of the early reviews talked a lot about this being one of those slow burn kind of horror movies, which gave me higher expectations than I'd had for, say, The Nun.
The Nun is the fifth film in the series, the second spin-off film, and probably the movie with the least amount of narrative substance given its starting material.
