Dexter

If this review was a single word, a "FFFUUUUUUUUUUUU" that stretched over the distance of 4-5 paragraphs, I believe that most Dexter viewers would stroke their beard (literal or figurative) and nod in calculated agreement.

Again, I can't wrap my mind around this show's stagnant and mundane routine.

The Dexter team decided to just pull something out of the woodwork and present us with an hour of patchwork plotting and poor climaxes.

Luckily, this episode really injected new life into the meandering events of Season 8.

Everything doesn't have to be clockwork, but at least try to throw some cohesion into what you're doing!

The main concern surrounding this episode is Zach Hamilton, a fetal version of Dexter.

Dexter built its success on having a fairly tight world around an outlandish character... that atmosphere has cracked and worn.

Dexter is still pretty damned watchable but there is a lot of room for improvement.

This was an average episode, but it did lay foundation for important elements down the line.

Jamil is really hoping Dexter can pull off this final season.

"My God, Dexter. How did we end up here?"

Wow. What a time to take a week off.

Dexter is all about the love this season, and Jamil delves deep into all the love that our favorite serial killer has in his life.

In short: Good time to be a fan of Dexter, not such a good time to be Dexter.

Dexter shows that even deranged killer of killers can do well with the women.

This is another decent episode that throws a wrench into the apparent arc of the season.

A good episode in an above-average season, but I know it can get better.

With Debra, the emotional center of the show, we see a layered and developed struggle to accept the unacceptable --- that the most important person in her life is a serial killer.
