I don’t feel cheated by having to wait til January. Instead, it’s like a narrative Christmas…nothing but happy anticipation and the certainty that Santa (Horowitz and Kitsis) will once again deliver.

Every fairy tale needs a really good villain.

Unfortunately, when it comes how well the episode works in and of itself, “Child of the Moon” does not deliver as we might hope.

But let’s face it, despite her choices, if she’s looking for a happily-ever-after, the pickings are kinda slim.

There is little evidence of Rumple’s better angels this week.

Last week’s episode was good. It really was. But it had one major flaw: Rumplestiltskin wasn't in it.

But investing Snow with a complex and believable emotional core is where Goodwin really shines.

“I have a feeling our prince is working on something right now.”

“You have to go. I’m still a monster.”
