With TRUE DETECTIVE returning to our lives tomorrow night, we thought it would be a good time to round up our Psycho Drive-In True Detective Postmortems from last year!
First up we had Geoffrey D. Wessel with “Stories Within Stories: Fiction vs. Reality vs. Real-Reality in TRUE DETECTIVE.”
Then the immaculate Keith Silva had “An Argument with Myself: Locked Rooms, Lawn Care and Lynchian Corruption in TRUE DETECTIVE.”
Next came the incomparable Lance Parkin with “Truth Strategies in TRUE DETECTIVE.”
Allison and Josh Mattern provided an alternative viewpoint with “Sex, Lies, and TRUE DETECTIVE.”
Finally, Kelvin Green and Paul Brian McCoy had a conversation that looked over and evaluated the series as a whole, with “TRUE DETECTIVE: A Conversation, A Review.”
A few months later, some controversy inspired Lance Parkin to return to us with “Is TRUE DETECTIVE Plagiarized?”
Will Season Two give us as much to think and write about as Season One? We have a hunch it will.
