As Season Five of The Walking Dead kicks off, Gimple gets the band back together and drives home the simple fact that Carol is a badass and that Rick was wrong.
Paranoia Agent is terrifying in the best way — it’s scary not just because of what happens, but because the bigger implications of what it presents are even more unnerving.
Season Four is kind of a game-changer, moving Adventure Time into more complex emotional territory as well as opening up more intriguing narrative opportunities.
Arrow found its identity late in Season One, but the writers started the second season with all they had learned and ran with it for 23 pulse-pounding episodes.
It’s a nice moment both narratively and visually for The Strain, allowing director Peter Weller to really shine, despite the dullness of a lackluster script.
And unfortunately, so far in The Strain (11 episodes in to a 13-episode season!!) we’re being teased with classic vampire action, but are being hampered by clichés and characters that just don’t add anything to the story.
So if you were one of the people who stuck with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. from the beginning, you should be patting yourselves on the back right about now.
On the plus side, when it was good, it was really good. Unfortunately it also meandered around, wasted a lot of time, and fell back on a couple of what are becoming standardized Strain clichés.
